Alexander Charles Christy, November 24, 1926 to August 29, 2013.
Mr. Alexander Charles Christy of Carmel IN, passed away on August 29-2013. Alexander was born in Fairmont West Virginia to Anthony and Mary Christy. Alexander was proud to volunteer his services to serve and protect this countries freedom at 17 years of age. He served in active Duty in World War II in Okinawa Japan during the invasion.
Alexander attended West Virginia University where he honored every year. He excelled in Physics, mathematics, engineering and chemistry. He authored dozens of intellectual patents domestically and internationally. He fathered creativity like a precious child.
A creator, a true scientist of creativity, whose beautiful mind will echo into years to come. An unbelievable devoted husband, who loved his beautiful wife, Clara Ann, for over 60 years. A father of 5 children who sacrificed everything to see his children smile and to hear their laughter.
His effervescent shining light of hope will be survived by his wife, children and grandchildren. This light will never be diminished by the presence of time.
His passion when he was not in his laboratory creating inventions was to be on the baseball field training and nurturing his 3 sons who were drafted into the White Sox, Yankees and Angels.
His love for the game continues to shine through his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his beloved wife Clara Ann Christy. His children Alexander C Christy Jr and wife Jill Christy and Children: Grant, Hope, Brock and Chloe. John R. Christy deceased 2009 and his wife Jennifer Christy and children: Olivia, Casey and Carly. Connie and Bradley Young. Kathleen and Anthony J Rudicel and children: Rachel and Emily. Jack D. Christy and betrothed Jen Bostrom and Child: Kaylyn Bostrom.
His brother in law Samuel Newman and nephew Alan Newman.
His grandchildren were essence of life and each one loved him in a very special way. He will always have a impact on their lives.
Family and Friends will gather for visitation, Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road and Thursday, Sept. 5, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Northview Church, 12900 Hazel Dell Parkway, Carmel.
